"You Have been Called on a Quest"

At the dinner table, my siblings and I, with pencils, paper, and a few dice, went on the greatest adventures we’d ever known. We want to give you the chance to go on adventures of your own.

The Game

Dice and a hero sheet on a table

Take a sojourn to a realm older than our own -- a realm with armored knights, fickle fairies, and evil magicians -- a realm where magic is strange, unpredictable, and rare.

You will be the hero of this dangerous journey. Your choices will determine not just whether you live or die, but the fate of those you protect and save. You will travel in a world of kings and villages, farms and fiefs, and knights and duels. On this quest, fire will keep more than the darkness at bay. On this quest, trees are more than plants. On this quest, magic is more alive than just the words on the scroll.

Sojourn is a tabletop role-playing game for medieval adventures, featuring dynamic combat and duels, mystical and chaotic magic, and tools for fairy-tale-esque adventures.

Our Story

Family Adventures

Our family loves going on adventures, we love traveling together, trying new things, and learning new skills. As part of that, we've been playing Table Top Role Playing Games for years.

Those are some of my favourite childhood memories. At our dinner table, we five siblings used papers, pencils, a few dice, and some imagination to go on the greatest adventures we’d ever known.

We climbed over yeti-infested peaks, through magical jungles, and into deep and dark dungeons. We fought pirates together, slayed giants, and hunted monsters.

The Need

In a time when we need heroic adventures more than ever, we find them increasingly absent in modern storytelling.

Stories of light and darkness, heroism, courage, and honor are not just fun — they are needed.

In our experience, storytelling games are the perfect environment for telling these stories. If designed for this purpose, they are ideal for family bonding. They can teach teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. Instead of teaching us to hand all our thinking over to technology and organizations, they put all of the power in our hands, for us to create the stories, worlds, solutions, heroes, and narratives together.

That’s why we’ve designed Sojourn — so you can adventure together.

Adventure Together

Happy families spend time together, have experiences together, and tell stories together. Happy families adventure together.

We designed this game with those families in mind — but it is a game for anyone who hungers for mythical and heroic adventures. It’s narrative first, and rules supported. The ruleset rewards strategic play from the most experienced players and creative ideas from the newest. It’s unapologetically medieval, perfect for fairy-tale adventures.

We’ve been designing the game we’ve always dreamed of — but now we need your help to refine it.
